Memories Thru a Lens approaches children's portrait photography a little differently, never photographed in a studio but instead in your home or a location that suits your family. By allowing babies and children to be comfortable in their own environment means that I can capture natural portraits showing their true expression and personality, plus being in their own environment keeps them far more settled than putting them in a stark white room with big flashing lights all around them.

The style of the portrait shoot
The portrait session is scheduled around you and your children, you can decide the best time to photograph them, after a feed, after a nap its up to you a you know them best.
I work in a subtle and unobtrusive way allowing the photo shoot to be fun, I am very relaxed in my approach and am more than happy to take our time with the shoot, its never a rush as I know children have different moods sometimes giggly and sometime grizzly I work alongside them, allowing them to just be as they are. This is why I don't charge by the hour or put a time on the shoot, on average it takes between 1-3 hours.
A good idea is to allow them to have their favorite toy, item of clothing on, book or comforter to help them feel settled, plus it makes a good memory to include in the photographs.
The images after the portrait shoot
All images are edited to make them vibrant and arty, then they are presented to you with a slideshow set to music which in the comfort of your own home The images will be showcased in a combination of black and white and colour so you can decide which you would prefer.
